Like I said, the story was told the same way as the fairy tale, but the twist came soon when Belle began remembering her mother a lot more and she was only told stories about her through her father, but she begins to learn more the moment she touches the Enchanted Rose and she learns that her mother had something to do with cursing the Beast, though she doesn’t know what she did. The story started out just how it does in the classic film and fairy tale – the prince being cursed for being selfish and unkind, Belle being unusual to the town’s people, Gaston trying to pursue her and Belle saving her father and taking his place as the Beast’s prisoner, but it takes a while to know where the twist is in the story. The title As Old as Time, and all the books have a “What If” scenario and this one’s scenario was “What if Belle’s mother cursed the Beast?” When I first heard of the series, I didn’t pay much attention the order and I went with the Beauty and the Beast story as it’s my favourite fairy tale, but after reading the book, I looked at the order and this was actually the third book in the series. At the moment, I’m at home and it was nice being at home for Christmas and New Year’s and I’m really looking forward to what comes ahead, and this year, if things die down, I want to explore more of Paris and see all these amazing places it has! Another thing I want to do this year is more reading and more writing as this year, I’m hoping to publish my second book, which is a sequel to my first book and after, I hope to start writing a third to make a trilogy and I also hope to write more ideas for future projects!įor now, I’d like to share my review on one of the books I’ve read last year, which was a book from a Twisted Tale book series which is based on well-known Disney stories, but of course, with a twist.

With Covid still a problem, hopefully, this will be a year where things can slowly get back to normal. 2020 was full of surprises and unexpected events, but we managed to get through it and we’re in 2021. Happy New Year everyone! 2020 is gone and now, we’re in 2021.
